On our last day at full production capacity before Christmas break, the production team at Beautiful Land Products was hard at work making green roof soil that is used in green roof construction. We make green roof soil by the cubic yard and in large volumes that leave our facility by the truckload on flat bed trailers. Some of our raw materials come in on dump trailers such as this one. This material is being mixed with a number of other constituent materials to produce a green roof soil with the unique combination of being lightweight, porous and easy to drain, and yet capable of supporting healthy plants in what, at times, can be a harsh growing environment. Often we produce two different types of green roof soil – a drainage layer and an intensive soil layer. Merry Christmas and hope you have a wonderful 2015!
