Winterizing Your Greenhouse
With the first round of hard frosts happening at the end of October, many of us will be shutting down our greenhouses for the winter. For those that aren’t, be sure your inflation blowers are working properly to ensure maximum insulation value. We have Schaefer 60CFM inflation blowers on hand, and in many cases can get them to you next-day (weekends excepted).
Is your Dosatron ready for winter?
When shutting down your greenhouse, don’t forget the injector! This is the perfect time for maintenance. Follow these three easy steps to protect your Dosatron:
- Completely drain out the unit.
- Clean & perform maintenance.
- Store to protect from freezing temperatures.
We offer three different maintenance kits depending on the amount of maintenance required:
- Mini Maintenance Kit – perfect for routine maintenance. Kits vary by unit, but typically include plunger seal, check valve assembly, check valve seal, dosa-lube (silicone)
- Standard Seal Kit – Recommended yearly maintenance. Kits vary by unit, but typically include injection sleeve o-ring, check valve assembly, injection stem o-ring, and plunger seal
- Rebuild Kit – Helps extend the life of the Dosatron D14MZ2 – Includes Piston Kit Contents, Seal Kit Contents, and complete, detailed instructions.

See you at the Iowa Organic Conference!
We’ll be at the Iowa Organic Conference November 24th-26th at the Iowa Memorial Union building in Iowa City. We hope to see you there! We had a great time at last year’s conference and look forwarding to learning more this year! The theme is “Celebrating the Biodiversity of Organic Farming.”
