Acknowledging Jim
In this newsletter we wanted to acknowledge and thank Jim Girvan for his 28 years at Beautiful Land Products. On May 1, Jim retired and is now enjoying travel, gardening, and the relaxation he has more than earned. His selfless service and dedication to quality have contributed significantly to the growth of Beautiful Land Products over the years. Thanks Jim!
We would also like to introduce you to our new General Manager, Phil Ricks. Phil loves plants more than just about anything. He has worked in greenhouses, in prairie restoration, and on farms for several seasons. He has been training under Jim’s wing over the last season and is excited to take the reins. As Jim says, “BLP is in Phil’s very capable hands and I look forward to seeing how the business evolves.”

The Suståne is in! If you pre-ordered, you can pick your order up any time during our regular business hours. Did you forget to pre-order? No worries – we’ve got you! We ordered extra anticipating that you were so busy getting ready for Mother’s Day, Farmers Markets, wedding season, and so on, that you may have forgotten. We are carrying two products (for now, but will surely expand)

Suståne is an OMRI Listed neutral pH slow release fertilizer popular among organic farmers for its high levels of humates (10% by volume), and for its ability to improve soil nutrient and water retention, strengthen plant tolerance against hot dry conditions, promote root development, improve buffering against changes in soil pH, and increase soil porosity and stability. We struggled getting some of the raw materials for our All-Purpose Potting Soil this year, but are happy to announce that they are on the way! Pre-order your pallets of 40qt and 20qt bags, and we will contact you when they are ready. Individual bags will also be available. Call for pricing.
